Guests now have more time to explore the 18th Dynasty and King Tut at the SWFL Museum of History! Due to popular demand, the Museum's hugely successful traveling exhibit, Tutankhamun: Wonderful Things from the Pharaoh's Tomb, is being extended thru August 15th.

Visitors will experience the spectacle, tradition, history, and religion of ancient Egypt as King Tut is resurrected and the 18th Dynasty comes to life in this astonishing exhibit presenting more than 100 faithfully reproduced replicas of original artifacts that will never be seen outside Egypt.

An outstanding Audio Tour and educational guide are part of the admission package.

Summer campers enjoy crafting visual arts projects, learning the literary arts and playing superstar on stage. Each week revolves around at theme and culminates in a display of artwork and performance for family and friends. Campers must be entering grades 1st - 6th to enroll. The Laboratory Theater of Florida is casting for all roles for the following stage plays. Auditions are August 2nd from 5 to 9 pm at 2301 First Street in downtown Fort Myers. This is the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center. All auditionees should be prepared with a dramatic monologue not to exceed 2 minutes. This classic play, which was made into a stunning film starring Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, looks at the lies we tell ourselves and others to make life more palatable. An evening of heavy drinking leads to raucous behavior and sometimes vicious truth-telling.

October 8-9, 14 -16, 21-23

TRUE WEST Two estranged brothers have been reconnected in this comic tale about sibling rivalry. Austin's successful lifestyle and work as a screenwriter is threatened by his free-spirited brother. January 26-29 and Feb 2, 3, 5

HAMLET Spying, cheating and cunning double-talk are commonplace in the Danish royal household. Hamlet, the intelligent and well-liked prince, has difficulty coming to terms with his father's death and his mother's hasty marriage to his uncle. He also has reason to believe his uncle killed his father. Watch our young prince in what is considered the world's greatest play as he struggles to live a morally upright life in a cruel and deceiving house. April 6-9, 13-16, 20-23

BUG This sleazy thriller and comedy about the seedy underbelly of an Oklahoma hotel room and its less-than-savory occupants questions delusion and reality in a post-war world. May 19-21, 26-28
